Hello and welcome to my travel journal web site.
I had been dreaming of going to Europe after my sister went there for her foreign term in college. Her term was different than most as it was broken into 3 countries, where she spent 5 weeks in London, 3 weeks in Paris, a week off and, 2 weeks in Munich. All the while she was able to make side trips to 6 other countries. I went to visit her while she was in London, as the UK was on the top of my travel list at that point. Shortly after I returned to the States, I met my ex-wife, and we had our daughter Teslyn. Family life changed my European travel plans to dreams, but we enjoyed family-friendly trips around the States.
My Mom went to Europe before she met my Dad, and they had always talked of going together to see the sights. However, my mom was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and passed a few years ago. As they were never able to go together, I thought I would take Dad to see Europe’s magnificent monuments and treasures.
So let’s go
So why did I choose to do this trip? I was looking at my life and thinking I wasn’t getting any younger. I have heard so many stories about people waiting to travel and then not being able to go due to some circumstance such as health. So I did something uncharacteristic for me, and I booked the trip.
During my free time I enjoy spending time with family and playing with the kids. I’m a big kid at heart and I love exploring. I love God. I do enjoy a good story, whether it’s a book, a movie or talks with friends. I wish there were more song in our everyday lives as I love to sing along.
